Paula Abeles’ Responds to Daily Kos & Racist Attacks
My name is Paulie Abeles and until a few days ago, most people knew me as a typical busy wife and mom. I am a life-long Democrat. My father, a triple eagle at Boston College, campaigned for JFK’s first Senate campaign; my mother actively supported Democratic candidates. My parents instilled in me a strong sense of fairness and equality, a thirst for knowledge, and an expectation that intelligent discussion should be based on well-researched facts. I graduated from Smith College and have worked for Salomon Brothers, The Stars & Stripes, and The Freight Forwarders Council.
I have spent the past 6 months actively supporting Hillary Clinton by setting up a network of bloggers to ensure that Senator Clinton’s positions were understood by the electorate. My family and I campaigned on her behalf in the primaries. I supported Hillary Clinton because of her experience, knowledge of the issues, and her practical approach and commitment to the bread-and-butter issues facing this country.
During the campaign, I have become increasingly alarmed by the refusal of the media to properly scrutinize Senator Obama’s
actions and associations. I have also been appalled by the political maneuverings of the DNC to ensure that their chosen candidate was selected—including, just as one example, breaking their own rules to ensure that the two states that supported Hillary were stripped of their delegates even though five states broke the rules.
Lastly, I have been aghast at the vitriol and name-calling being spewed by Obama supporters against anyone who has an honest disagreement with them. As documented throughout by the “attack timeline” formerly found on the HRC website—the Obama campaign employed a concerted strategy of constantly questioning the likeability, honesty, experience, and integrity of Clinton. While the candidate portrayed himself as ‘above it all’—his campaign relentlessly faxed pages and pages of material designed to stoke the fires of false controversies.
I do not believe that Barack Obama would make a good president of the United States. Frankly, I think there is a minimum standard of accomplishment and experience we should expect from a candidate for the toughest job in the world. By any metric Obama falls short. Kirk Watson couldn’t name Senator Obama’s legislative accomplishments. I can– two bills: to promote democracy in the African Congo and to name a post office. Certainly, Senator Obama’s 130 “present” votes in the Illinois legislature when asked to take a stand on controversial issues do not inspire confidence. Many of the people that supported Hillary Clinton have similar reservations about Senator Obama’s fitness to lead. Thus, on Saturday, I helped organize an informational meeting and teleconference with John McCain for supporters of Hillary Clinton who were trying to decide whether to support Barack Obama or John McCain.
Less than 48 hours later, I was attacked, called “deeply racist”, a “lunatic”, “rabid” and with “a history of jobs, statements, actions and practice that leave her very vulnerable to accusations that she is a ‘racist’”. One site even claimed: “keeping black people out of the party has been a lifelong ambition of hers.” The basis of the attack was a controversy involving my husband’s ancestor, Thomas Jefferson.
As many of you have probably heard, some descendents of Sally Hemings, a slave in the household of Thomas Jefferson, have claimed that they are descendents of Thomas Jefferson. Sally Hemings had 3 sons: Thomas Woodson, Madison Hemings, and Eston Hemings. Descendents of Thomas Woodson had their DNA tested 7 times—each time there was no match. Descendents of Madison Hemings declined to be tested. The white descendents of Eston Hemings had their DNA tested and were a match to a Jefferson, but the DNA tests could not determine if the Jefferson genes were from Thomas Jefferson or one of the 27 other Jefferson males that lived in the area at the time and visited frequently. Additionally, since Thomas Jefferson was 64 at the time of Eston’s birth and was suffering from prostate cancer, which often caused impotency, it is less likely that Eston was a son of Thomas Jefferson. A 2001 Scholars Commission of 13 prominent Jefferson historians (including the former chair of Harvard’s Department of Government), examined all the evidence for a year, and issued a 500-page report that concluded that the allegations of a relationship between Hemings and Thomas Jefferson were not true, and that was not enough evidence to determine Eston Hemings’ paternity.
During 2003, a member of the Jefferson family set up a Yahoo chat room for family members and Hemings descendents to discuss the issues. Unfortunately, discussions became strained and many individuals who disagreed that Thomas Jefferson fathered Eston Hemings were barred from the site. Bloggers from both sides used assumed names to try to get information from the other side. When the moderator discovered me, a Washington Post reporter asked me if I was on the chat room under a pseudonym—and I—foolishly perhaps—answered honestly. However, it was never a racial issue. Eston Hemings’ descendents (the only Hemings that applied) are, by any calculus, white. No doubt passions at the time were overheated, and honorable people can disagree. Part of the consideration was that as DNA typing becomes more sophisticated, a definitive analysis could prove the issue in the future.
This is the sum and total of the activities for which I have been vilified. I am a private citizen who has never held a position with either the Clinton or McCain campaign. But, there is a curious double standard at work here. Barack Obama, the presumptive nominee of our party and possible President of the United States participated in a racist church for twenty years. A church whose “Black Liberation Theology” is the apotheosis of hate. In one year alone, Senator Obama contributed $22,000 to support the church. He has allied himself with other racists: namely Rev. James Meeks and Father Phlegal. The National Review reported that in a single year, Senator Obama appeared on the cover of the church magazine four times. Three of those times, Senator Obama shared the cover with Louis Farrakhan. How is this double standard rational?
I am a mother of two small children living in a diverse community who has seen my life turned upside down by half-truths and vicious attacks. Some have printed my address and phone number. I have been harassed and threatened. But, as far as I can tell, that has been the Obama campaign’s strategy all along—to isolate, to discredit, to destroy. But, Clinton supporters have seen this game before. You will not frighten us anymore. Even when four of our member networks were disrupted by mysterious viruses—with barely 24-hour notice—we managed to turn out thousands of HRC supporters on a conference call with John McCain. Supporters that will not, under any circumstances vote for a “democratic” party that disenfranchised us—not because we are racists, or ‘closet republicans,’ but because we are Americans.
And that must have you very worried.

I am sorry that you have to deal w/ all of that. I was in a store in NYC w/my 5year old son and had my Hillary hat on and was called a racist by 3 college aged kids (2 were black 1 white) and they were yelling at me and one of them stood so close to me that I was nervous . I told them they needed to step back and if needed I would call the police. My son was so upset and asked me why they “hated me” and Mommy what is a racist? I have never seen anything like this. I have lived in NYC for over 20yrs. And love the diversity of it and choose to stay here even after 9-11. If this man is about unity I haven’t seen one bit of it anywhere in fact I believe him to be a racist and am not afraid to say it. We live in a country now that because of the far-reaching Political Correctness it is ok to be a black and to hate whites and to say whatever you want. When Don Imus (whom I have never heard of, until the firing) spoke BO said he should be fired and then of course you had Rev. Sharpton (racist in charge) getting involved, the man wasn’t around during 9-11 at all helping victims of any color. I was not allowed in my home for 4months, but BO’s people can say anything and when you question any of it the answer is you must be a racist. People wake up, what his campaign did to the best Pres. of my lifetime (I am 43) Bill Clinton was disgusting. HRC never stood a chance even w/ her 18 million votes. They have played the race card every chance they got and will contine to do so. Why doesn’t the MSM investigate him? I just don’t get why, maybe someone can help me. This man is dangerous and I mean that in every way. I will never vote for him. I am just sickened by all of this and can not for the life fo me figure out the master plan, when Bush got in I knew oil prices would go up and that the people around him would want more power and money seemed to be the factor at least that’s what I thought when he won his first so called election, but what does this guy and his close circle of racist want. I sometimes I wish I wasn’t enlightened and drank the koolaid it would be a lot easier on me and maybe I wouldn’t be so upset by this.. Good luck and I am doing my part.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Paula. Larry Sinclair’s revelations are not gaining traction for obvious reasons BUT the tie-in to the Chicago-style murder of three gay choir members of the Trinity church, including the choir director, as reported on TexasDarlin, gave me pause to wonder just how far the Obamaphiles are prepared to go. Scary indeed! Thank you for all your work.

You are a hero. The moveon.org/Soro crowd has hijacked the Democratic party, and they have been joined by the MSM is trying to push a Marxist, racist, anti-Semetic candidate on us.
NOBAMA!!!

Thank you Paula for your efforts. You speak so well. Thank you for speaking for me. I live in the deep south (southern Mississippi) and have known for several years that the “white” folks down here cannot express their opnions about anything without being a “racist”. There is no logic to it. They choose to be victims and feel entitled to lay it at the feet of all white people. I am sure you are shocked and dismayed by the attacks against you, I will pray for your safety.
on June 21st, 2008 at 11:36 pm
So this how the supporters of Sen. Obama translate how he would like to approach us with humility to unite the party. Like they said, birds of a feather flock together and that’s not very far from the truth if you really listen to his BS and look hard on his affiliation.
Thank you for having the courage for all of us that can’t be heard and God bless to you and yours.

Paula,
I am proud to have you as a fellow american. I am a first generation american who feels like “racism” has turned into the new “mccarytisim”. I say this as minority/person of color myself, and I am frankly disgusted at how moronic and juvunile BO’s fans are.
It is not good for democracy and and not good for our beloved country. Bless you and your family. You have shown true courage for what you are doing. BTW.. saw you on FOX both times, and you were GREAT!!
Remember, we all have faith in you and deeply appreciate what you are doing when you are speaking for all us, whites, AA, asians, latinos, native american, gays, …everyone..
THANK YOU!!!
One quote I wanted to leave you with:
“Let us never forget that government is ourselves and not an alien power over us. The ultimate rulers of our democracy are not a President and senators and congressmen and government officials, but the voters of this country.” – FDR

Paula Abeles is a true American, and I fully support her. Those who are attempting to impugn her character are sexist and misogynistic. Paula is an activist, and she enjoys the right to serve as an advocate for the candidates of her choice. What the Politico and The Atlantic did to Paula Abeles is inexcusable, and I hope the apologize immediately.
on June 22nd, 2008 at 12:20 am
I have had the privilege to closely work with Pauli as volunteers for Hillary Clinton. She’s a true blue American who wants the best for her country. She has been viciously attacked and smeared by the Obama campaign because she is a leader, who realizes that Obama would be a disaster for our country. The Obama campaign tried to discredit and silence her.
No chance! Pauli’s had the courage to stand up and fight back. Pauli’s exposed the Obama campaign’s tactic of playing the race card against people who don’t buy their bunch of baloney.
Pauli’s lit the fuse. Before this is over, we’re going to hold Obama accountable for constantly playing the race card. We’re going to expose the real racist, got it Obama!
on June 22nd, 2008 at 12:22 am
Paula,
You are wonderfully brave to continue! By going on tv you have done a wonderful service. Maybe they will be afraid to bother you again.
I hope you and everyone who might be ‘outed’ will arrange some sort of recording device for their phone to get evidence if there are threatening calls.
on June 22nd, 2008 at 12:45 am
I’m really sorry you are going through this. I ran for office in Nebraska and had similar experiences with the right-to-life movement and evangelical churches in my neighborhood. It got to the point I had nightmares and became afraid to walk around the city I grew up in. I know there is really nothing I can do to assuage your fear and the complete helplessness that you must feeling knowing that all you have done is to take a position on something that is your right , privilege and duty as an American citizen.
The battle freedom and justice is often fought in ways that most folks can never know until they have been there. Know that you are supported and held up by more people than you can even imagine from more places that you will ever visit. This may give you little rest, but it should tell you that what you have do is righteous and brave. You may not have asked for this, but now, here you are. You will be teaching your children some important lessons: how to deal with criticism with class, how to handle hatred with bravery, and how to be true to everything you believe in. Try to be strong and take care of yourself when ever! Life sometime chooses unlikely heroes. It will end and they will move on to some one else. Just hold on to yourself in the mean time and don’t hesitate to call the sheriff or police for help!

aside from the racist card, Obama doesn’t really have any card to bring in to the table to trump on any suit, after all he is empty. This tactics from his supporter is a sign of desperation and they are very afraid….as should be. The movement is working, that’s all…….

Great job, Paulie. Interviews were Intelligent, focused, and real. Note to conservca: I share your indignation, but I don’t believe Obama is any of those things. He is something much worse. A narcissistic arrogant con man, who has the con’s ability to make people believe him to be what they want. I realized that’s why the accusations don’t stick to him. He didn’t fervently believe in Ayers revolutionary cause or Black Liberation Theology, or, as is becoming distressing obvious to Kosland, progressive democratic ideals.

Paula…. thank you so much for your courage. Please keep up the good fight!
on June 22nd, 2008 at 1:58 am
Unfortunately, the harassment that Paula’s being subjected to by the Obama camp are typical & consistent with their storm-trooper tactics of physically threatening Clinton rally participants; preventing or trying to prevent Clinton supporters from attending caucuses by threatening them and/or locking caucus-site doors to prevent entry and participation (in at least one instance police had to intervene to enable Clinton’s supporters to get into the caucus site); phoning & writing threats to Clinton’s black supporters; sabotaging pro-Clinton internet sites, etc., etc.
Equally unfortunate is the fact that these storm-trooper tactics aren’t surprising in view of Obama’s long-standing and close ties to violent individuals like Faraquan, el-slsl, Wright, and Rezko.
It is frightening to think of America under the presidency of a man like Barack Obama. I agree 100% with Paula that John McCain is totally preferable to an Obama. Paula should have our loyalty, support and trust in this just the same as Hillary.
on June 22nd, 2008 at 6:10 am
thank you Paula for all you do and endure. I am an American first and to hell with the Democratic party. It’s been hijacked by a bunch of thugs and punks. And the women who got called a racist by 3 college kids for wearing a Hillary hat? It seems to me Barack Obama and his campaign played the race card back in South Carolina and his mesmerized young supporters fell in line. Now every other word out of their mouth is calling someone a racist. BO must be so proud that he is the presumptive nominee based on a bunch of undemocratic caucuses that his young thugs bullied and cheated at. That many voters were Republicans who just wanted Hillary out of the race. That he disenfranchised 2 major states, Florida and Michigan. That he is associated with hateful, racist and anti American people like Rev. Wright and Father Phfleger and Louis Farrakhan. The entire fiasco with the DNC on May 31st was an example that the Dem party can be just as nasty and ugly as the Republicans. As Paula said, BO doesn’t have the experience. I hope he goes down in flames. I pray that God will set things right.

From ABC News — from the Congressional Black Caucus meeting with Obama,.Sheila Jackson Lee told Obama he had to reach out to women who were offended by Obama’s treatment of clinton and that they were loyal supporters unhappy that she didn’t win.
“According to Rep. Yvette Clarke, D-N.Y., Obama then said, “However, I need to make a decision in the next few months as to how I manage that since I’m running against John McCain, which takes a lot of time. If women take a moment to realize that on every issue important to women, John McCain is not in their corner, that would help them get over it.”
Rep. Diane Watson, D-Calif., a longtime Clinton supporter, did not like those last three words — “Get over it.” She found them dismissive, off-putting.
“Don’t use that terminology,” Watson told Obama”
[This was sanitized. In the original version Waston is quoted as saying angrily to Obama " dont tell me to get over it".ABC took that quote out the next day.]

Please keep up the good work- don’t back down.
That is how the Obama camp works- what a uniter he turned out to be! He is the Bush of the DNC, at least Bush united his party!
This horror and his thugs have destroyed the Democratic Party. Well, NO DEAL! We will not unite and bless a racist, sexist nominee. He has been selected, not elected by the media hacks and radical left wing nut jobs

lovin’ the comments here. yes, i’m tired of being called a racist because i won’t support this arrogant, empty suit.

Paula, we have your back, too. You are a true patriot — someone who, despite the attacks of those who wish to shut you up, want to make the truth known. “…and the truth will set us free.”
While campaigning at a college campus, my 12 year-old Chinese daughter sat in on an obama rally to listen to Dule’ Hill (she’s a huge fan of the west wing). while sitting there with her hillary buttons on, a 20-something obama thug chastised her and called her “stupid” and to “get educated” — apparently in reference to the fact that hillary’s voters are “uneducated.” At her school, while also wearing her hillary pin, one classmate called her a bastard; another told her she sucks a**. Her school teachers are young obama acolytes–and most of her school is pro-obama (they think he’s cool like american idol winners.) My kid knows schoolyard bullying when she sees and hears it.
Also while campaigning for hillary, I heard accounts of people being spit on and of an aa supporter having his glasses knocked off his face and stomped on. My car was vandalized in front of my house because of my hillary sticker on my back windshield.
I say use the three ‘r’s’ of bullying: recognize, refuse and report.
If enough of us come forward with our personal stories of being physically intimidated, called names or being threatened then maybe the true souce of this behavior will come to light and we can send these cowards packing.
You know, paula, that in the end the truth will come out on all this and I want to thank you for having the courage to make it public and serve as a leader to those of us who may be reticent to say anything.
on June 22nd, 2008 at 9:54 am
Paulie Abeles is a hero. She is taking the heat for what millions of us know to be true – Obama is not qualified to be President and anyone who says so publicly is viciously attacked as a “racist.” In North Carolina we watched the DNC and the local NCDP swing the watershed North Carolina Democratic Primary to Obama, against their own rules. We have launched a new website to voice our disgust with the entire process: charlottefrontandcenter.com
Centrists and independents everywhere need to stand up now!

You go – Girl. It is not just the women. Men have been afraid to come out for fear of being called a woos. I am with you. I proudly stand with you!

Paula, thanks for the town hall with McCain with Hillary supporters. In fact, I would very much like another as I missed the first. Sorry you had to put up with the ex-Republican who voted for Bush and worked for Henry Hyde and wanted to impeach Bill Clinton, the total Republican, Markos of the Hate Site Daily Kos. That Republican Race Baiter who also does Document Fraud as a hobby is a disgrace to humanity, but rumor is he’s not one of us anyway.

Thank you Paulie Abeles for having the courage of your convictions.
I’m not liking Obama’s new kind of politics.

It’s so sad to see the state of our Democratic Party has come to the point of intimidation and threats. Please know there are many of us who support you and what you believe. Our voices may not be as loud or strident as those who only want to attack, but we are here and we will stand with you.
on June 22nd, 2008 at 11:42 am
Thank You Paulie! Loved your segment on TV, well done and well said. they are so playing with fire. I’ve experienced violence from an Obot while celebrating at a primary victory party while out on the road campaigning for hillary. he grabbed my hand holding my camera, tried to crush it while attempting to smash the camera on the ground. (the wrist strap prevented that) then he punched a guy in the jaw that rushed in to help me. it has gotten to the point we’ll need new legislation to cover our basic american rights to campaign safely, and stop all these types of harrassments in all forms. meanwhile our coalitions are growing by the day to just say no deal.
I found this comment over at no quarter:
“In response to Obama’s claim that Republicans will use race to stoke fear, Lt. Col Allen West, candidate for Congress in Florida’s 22 District issued this release: (Clarice Feldman)”
“My advice to Senator Obama is to run as a Man and Leader, and the American people will evaluate you as such, not as a victim. This is a Presidential race, based solely on a capacity to lead the United States of America. It is not about skin tone…however, perhaps we should come to expect these immature statements.
It also seems rather humorous that the Presidential candidate who was supposed to be such a “uniter” and transcend race is the one talking about it the most. If Senator Obama was confident in his abilities and character, he would not need to create a crutch for failure. Senator Obama has just tipped his hand, any criticism of him and his policies will be directly attributed to racism. I congratulate Senator Obama for taking race relations in America back some 30 years.” — Lt. Col Allen West

paula, hang in there. we all know the truth. thank you for taking the heat and let us know what we can do to help more.
on June 22nd, 2008 at 11:53 am
Thank you for standing up for all people who believe they have a right to their opinions, their values and the ability to choose who they believe would be the best candidate for any position in American politics. Obama and his campaign and followers have showed that they lack the core values of human decency
respect for the opinions of others and belief in fair play. He is neither Presidential nor Senatorial material. And, like very poorly behaved children, his followers need to be shown they can not have what they want just because they scream and kick. Our country is not be be run by those who have no moral center. We’ve had enough of arrogant amateurs parading in politics. We won’t let another fool come to power in America.
Bush was enough. No Obama.

You have every right to stand up for your rights. This is suppose to be a free country. You vote for the person who you think will be best to turn our country around. I applaud your determination. Don’t let others intimidate you…ever. Keep being strong and if Hillary isn’t the one then vote McCain. I am;_)
on June 22nd, 2008 at 12:03 pm
I admire you for your strength to deal with Obama’s crew. I fear that if elected we will see a lot of turmoil in our country. We have too many other issues to give to a person that does not have enough experience by any stretch of imagination. It is applauding what our country is demonstrating to the world during this election. We are a country of free and fair elections, but have become a country no better than third world country. Lies, deceit, and threats have made up this primary by the democrats. It is such a shame that the DNC does not have the guts to let the outcome to be determined by the voters. I think that Dean and Pelosi should loose their positions within the Democratic Party. They have divided the Democrats beyond repair this election. May God be with you and keep you safe.
on June 22nd, 2008 at 12:19 pm
Thank you for speaking out on this very serious issue. People of color, who don’t support BO, are also getting similar treatment and it is deplorable and unacceptable. Keep fighting the good fight, and perhaps this country will wake up and realize the dangerousness of BO and his followers and their politics of so-called “change”.”

We’ve got your back, Paulie. We’re all in this together.
God bless you…you’ll be in my prayers.

This could have been a really enlightening, exciting primary season. The first female to ever win in a primary as a Presidential candidate and (supposedly) the first viable non-white man (I say non-white man because he isn’t completely African American). Sadly that was not the case. There has been no low that has been too low for the Obama campaign and thanks to the so-called “leaders” of the democratic party, the best possible candidate, who just so happens to be female, has had to step aside for a while and endorse this fraud. Thank you, Paula, for standing up and letting the truth be heard – I pray for the safety of you and your family and for all Hillary Clinton supporters.
on June 22nd, 2008 at 12:32 pm
Thank you so much, Paula. I will keep your safety in my prayers.
on June 22nd, 2008 at 12:37 pm
Thank you Paula for your courage in publicly speaking out against the Obama supporters who have reacted with verbal abuse and threats of violence to Clinton supporters from the beginning of this election process. Their responses are purely emotional, revealing a lack of reason and rationality. They often cannot identify a single accomplishment of their idol, nor do they know of his positions on issues. They only know that he is all about “change”. Their dedication, in the absence of any attempts to critically analize Obama, borders on cult mentality.
Regardless of their motivation to stifle, intimidate, terrorize anyone who speaks out against their leader, their behavior cannot be tolerated. Obama has not publicly called for his followers to amend their ways, and in remaining silent, is equally responsible for their actions. Just as the DNC turned a blind eye to the sexism to which the media subjected Clinton on a daily basis, Obama has turned a blind eye to the thug-like behavior of his fanatical followers, proving, as did Howard Dean and the DNC, that they have no interest in standing on principle, until their purpose has been accomplished.
Thank you Paula for your courage, your intelligence, your integrity. You are an inspiration to all of us. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts.

I am sorry to hear this
Thank you for your courage you inspire us and we do have a choice. Obama and the angry black woman wife fuels this hate filled radical atmosphere where they paint everyone as a racist who will not support him. Well then I must be a racist because he will never get my support.
I hate Obama this coming from a 53yr old black woman married to an Obamabot just voting for the fraud because he is black he and I cant even hold a conversation on this election cycle without me going into my angry black woman routine and telling his azz off. The only solace that i get is from all you pro Hillary supporters online. I am tormented I boycott msnbc and cnn I only watch Fox News but the Obamabot always turns on those channels I just leave the room. I really dislike the fraud and his closeted radical wife and they will never get my vote If I cant have Hillary it will be MCcain. I truly disappointed in black people and the MSM and we wont even go into NOlberman, Dr Scream, Brazilla and dumb Pelosi I hate them all.
Sorry to Vent
God Bless you and Good luck.
Hillary2008 or MCcain 2008

In November 1989 was the fall of the Berlin Wall. I was fortunate enough that I was station in Europe at the time and I was there despite of a cold fever just to witness the Wind of Change and a historical landmark for our struggle of UNITY in Germany and to celebrate the end of suppression with those who long yearn it. Needless to say, I got shitface.
As an Asian American and growing up in the deep south. I know what it’s like being discriminated from both side of the fenced. So I learn to stand in between while using my better judgement and principles to what is right in my resolute. Truly, I can respect a sign that say ‘do not enter’. I don’t know where the credit is due, either Obama or the dnc, which at this point is all the same. But these exploitation on the race card has done more damage to this country, in the peoples distrust with each other that it hardly qualify as unity, but digging up bones bring that old feelings, ya know = votes. As I stated in the other blog, I too was labeled as a racist for pointing out my conviction to a friend who is white (poor soul, he thinks he owes the black), luckily enough we agreed that our friendship are much more important than our political view.
If Obama, media, supporters and DNC, are sincere about what they said in regard to the unity in the party for a greater good, then put away the race card to trump on every issues and address the problem as it should be. Much the same for sexist, right ladies? However as a man I can also confirm that it does exist as much as racism, but these shouldn’t be the primary reason of choosing your allegiance, since this is not about me, you and them, but it’s about the welfare of our country, our future, our children that requires a form of compromise to build a unity. Of course you ladies and guys knows this already, right?
Obama, could of been an Asian American, Latino American or whatever…..his affiliation, inexperience and the handling of the primary votes are the real problem in his pursuit for the highest office. You can’t put a flower on a peice of dung and call it something else, it’s still a peice of dung.
Lets talk about descrimination: http://academic.udayton.edu/race/04needs/income02.htm
I supposed Asian American don’t complain much, however our culture and indentity has never been illussive from us, therefore the grasp of power is not something that we deem necessary to be equally important as an American.

Thank you Paula. The dark side of the Obama campaign is very disturbing and pervasive. Obama, as the figurehead, has done little to dispel anti-social behavior. To the contrary, he has chuckled and remained silent when confronted with it during the primaries. This is the kind of leadership that we need? If he cannot set a good example for his own supporters, then it is a frightening indication of the kind of diplomacy and “unity” he will offer.
Be strong. We are all standing with you, and will continue to expose this fraudulent “movement” that is supposed to be healing for the country. It is our duty as citizens to fight this with all our talent, passion, skill, and resources.

Paula, desperate people do desperate things. The NoBama “movement” is starting to run scared. All newspapers and main stream media are very critical of him today! I hope people are starting to wake up! We are all sticking together and will continue our fight until Nov! Then his movement will only be a bile movement! Go McCain Puma Democrate

Empty charges of racism really piss me off, for the same reasons those rare instances of fake rape charges do (please note I’m not a rape apologist–anyone who knows me knows I steadfastly support groups that fight violence against women). First, it’s hard to remove the stain of the charge from the person who gets hit with the charge. Second, it encourages people who have nothing to do with the incident to jump on like a rugby scrum and get a few kicks in on the hapless chargee. Third, and perhaps ugliest, it gives real racists the cover they need to perpetuate their crap and we never get out of the ugly hole that makes these charges possible in the first place.
Hang in there, Paula. Don’t let the obots get you down.

Paula, this is a truly tragic story. I am so, so sorry for your trouble. But, remember, our heroine, Hillary, was also much maligned by the Obama people, the media & DNC heavy-weights as the campaign moved along. She was called every name in the book, and then some. It is just so ugly…
This race card strategy on the part of the Obama campaign should be reason enough to disqualify him from being the nominee of the Democratic Party. Now, he’s looking to play the race card against John McCain. He already come out with a speech the other day, saying that he needs all this money (why he’s not taking public financing), to fight against the Republicans smears– the 527s, which among other things, will say that Obama is “black.”
Here we go again… I think we should write to Howard Dean, Nancy Pelosi, etc., mention your story, and include references to Sean Wilentz column — http://www.tnr.com/politics/story.html?id=aa0cd21b-0ff2-4329-88a1-69c6c268b304 — (“Race Man” – “How Barack Obama played the race card and blamed Hillary Clinton”)
and protest the use of racial politics and smears against anyone that opposes him.
We just can NOT let this guy any where near the White House…

Lord have mercy, folks. Come back to reality. If McCain is elected, he will nominate our federal judges. The right will then have the Supreme Court in its pocket for a generation or more, and Sen. McCain will appoint those judges and they will hew to that ideological line. Get over the anger, as has Sen. Clinton, and focus on the fall and the election.

Hello Paula,
I’m just stopping by to tell you I’m so inspired by you. Thank you for speaking out. I’m sorry for all you’ve had to endure and will keep you in my thoughts daily.
mbirir, this is NOT the place for your rhetoric, it’s the same tired line and it’s wrong headed. We are not petulant little girls who need to get over our “tantrum”
This is about a much more serious issue. The gaming of the process to favor one candidate over the other. There is enough evidence there if you want to look for it. We won’t be bullied and back stabbed into voting for Obama. Why bother voting at ALL if we reward the DNC for doing what they have done here. George Soros buying the party and the DNC practically throwing it in our faces that they would do everything in their power to make sure Obama was the nominee. If you think this was a process like any other then you are wrong.
Paula, I will not back down on this. We’re with you all the way!
on June 23rd, 2008 at 12:42 pm
We know that the responsibility rests at the top of the campaign. Obama could have shut down such tactics by issuing a strong statement upon hearing about the first Obama supporter heckling Hillary at an appearance to “iron my shirt!” Instead, Hillary volunteers were harassed as we went peaceably about our business. My partner and I were called a variety of unprintable names in several states as we were out visibly volunteering for Hillary, and several BO supporters made a point of walking up and down the sidewalks so close that we had to move off or get pushed – intimidating when you are 1 or 2 older women confronted by several large college-age males.
It seems pretty fishy that 30 or 40 Obama supporters would have bothered to get Paula’s phone number and harass her at all hours of the day or night without someone in the campaign getting the phone number and organizing that harassment.
We are fed up with Obama bloggers gloating that he “has won… so suck it up”… and support him because we have nowhere else to go. 1) BO didn’t win the popular vote and he didn’t win any actual elections – just caucuses – from March until Oregon; 2) he hasn’t been nominated yet, and can’t be until August at the Democratic Convention. So far it’s all the DNC good old boys changing the rules, then finally throwing out the rules in order for BO to get “enough” elected delegates. It’s been one massive power grab. 2) We aren’t going to be scared into supporting – or even voting for BO, based on the potential for bad Supreme Court appointments. The DNC should have thought about that before they started playing fast and loose with the rules and propping up their guy every time some negative Obama info hit the front page. Now we’ll just have to rely on the Senate to hold the line on Supreme Court appointments. Or let those Obama supporters find out how devastating it will be to their social lives in a world without birth control, let alone abortion!
I encourage everyone to write comments on the DNC solicitations in the mail, then mail back the prepaid envelope. If the Dems figure out how many folks are totally fed up with their shenanigans, maybe they’ll at least play by the rules during the Convention.
Paulie, keep up the good work in getting the word out about how bad this guy really is! We can’t count on the media anymore to do the investigative digging they used to do. Now they just publicize whatever the latest Obama press release says! Hang in there!

America is so sick of this presidential “FEAR” campaign. Obama’s camp initiates fear and hate – divisiveness — and they’re not only ignored by the media, but the entire mainstream media (MSM) does everything it can to fuel this ugly strategy. And it is a STRATEGY to DIVIDE this NATION.

“five states broke the rules”
Actually, only two states broke the rules, and here is where you lose my sympathy – you aren’t arguing the facts.
Any state was allowed to move their primary up. The penalty came from moving your primary up TOO EARLY. The DNC set a date. Only FOUR states were allowed to have a primary before that date. Michigan and Florida were the ONLY TWO STATES who broke the rules.
Also, half of MI voted *against* Hillary. Many people openly say they only voted for Hillary in MI because their candidate of choice wasn’t on the ballot. How can you say this state was “for” her?
Look. If you want to have a legitimate complaint, I can think of plenty. But you don’t do yourself any favors by complaining how it was so unfair, when in fact it *was* fair.
I can prove I’m telling the truth.
Can you?

Paula & Nat Abeles,
Our landscape has always been in a constant change however today’s landscape particularly is changing more than ever. Normally we don’t like change however when our landscape changes, we have to adapt. Please accept that I’m not trying to be critical of what happened to Paula as I and many others as it seems are not accepting this type of behavior. Because of having lived in a family for more than 26 years who is directly involved in the criminal aspects of what’s affecting out political criminal behavior circus, there is something underneath all of this.
Like many, I would personally love to explain everything. But there’s such a wide gap with what people may be able to understand as opposed to what needs to be learned that makes this feat nearly impossible. Plus as you’ve noticed, the internet is a good communication medium for establishing transparency but it’s also being used to destroy it as well. Take as an example the attempt to explain Paula’s involvement with posting information representing someone else. True or not true to me isn’t known, but this point is another separate issue being used to smear and destroy her creditability. Paula, I’m on your side but please believe me that there are other parts to this that many don’t know that the family I was in is involved in.
The more scary part is the threats. Paula, I live in Northbrook IL and from being in the family I also know about murders and attempted murders. So please take any threat as being serious as my view is the people involved are representative of a Political Mafia. They do use Gang Stalking and other criminal activities to build detailed profiles on their targets. If you see signs of this activity please go directly to high level law enforcement, perhaps best would be the FBI. From what I know well this is much larger and involved than what it may appear from your view. I would also encourage anyone living around me who has experienced this behavior to post a request here, if you feel comfortable to do so, to connect with me.
It’s deeply upsetting to me that my youngest son is involved with Rezko. If he doesn’t get out his future is going to be toast. However, what the family is involved in far exceeds in criminal activity what my son is doing. All are in serious trouble mo matter if the family claims to be a CIA Asset or not. I’ll talk more about this another time but there are two websites that feature investigations pursuing their involvement as well as others in a 100 plane fleet for air shipping TON’S of cocaine into the US. You can read more by going to:
Madcow Morning news
http://www.madcowprod.com/
Narco News
http://narconews.com
Reporter: Bill Conroy
Read everything about “Clyde O’Connor” as he is my ex-sister-in-law’s brother. Clyde and my ex-brother-in-law are partners in the air freighting of TON’s of Cocaine into the US.
It doesn’t stop there as the family is deeply rooted into other areas with many supporting high end corruption and much more.
The problem that has happened to Paula isn’t limited to just what happened. It’s part of something much larger that isn’t easy to understand.

Florida and michigan broke the rule, however florida legislative (who are RNC) broke the rule not the people who actually voted for both candidiate therefore it should count in full.
In Michigan, senator obama wasn’t even in the ballot, yet has been awarded the number of delegate in settlement is wrong. how can you win the lotto if you don’t play? Obama did…..

Get the facts about Paula Abeles. 1. She tries to tie Obama to farakan. Is that because he’s a scarey black man? I could find one time he was on the cover with farakan AND Adam Clayton Powell, Shirley Chisholm, Johnny Cochran, Rosa Parks, Luther Vandross, Ozzie Davis, Lou Rawls.
2. She says the descendents of Sally Hemmings are WHITE. Obviously, she is more interested in skin color than heritage.

Barrack speak of that in his book, why should that be any different. I think you are being selective of choosing your arguement. You speak of facts for certain individual, yet you are not questioning those facts that are presented before you, regarding your deceiver. She’s not running for office, he is. on June 27th, 2008 at 10:01 pm
Good on – Gary. The thing I notice about this site is that the talk is about payback towards Obama, Dean, the DNC, etc. You have every right to do so, but be ready to take responsibility for what happens to our country during a McCain administration. Yes, Democrats are corporatists…Hillary took as much PAC money as McCain did (Obama took $0 from PACs). The thing I think is important is what corporations they take their money from and whose influence are they going to be most vulnerable to. McCain wants to continue the Bush trickle down, neofacist policies. I’d rather take the risk of someone who will consider humanist ideals.
on June 27th, 2008 at 10:07 pm
Note to the editor: Yes, I’ll gladly be a pawn of the Democrats. At least their platform addresses equality, diversity, and the distribution of wealth. Face it, the Repubs really believe that the economy is okay and Iraq was worth 4100 lives.

So the plot thicken, nice try on the guilty tactic attempt. However, I can’t speak for the rest of the folks here regarding my opinion on this matter. They alone have their own conviction of where they need to stand. As for me, my allegiance is to the United State of America, not in a mediocre party that you guys believed in, which it has not accomplished a dang squate since they have taken the majority, so practice what you preach if you want to be taken seriously.
” but be ready to take responsibility for what happens to our country during a McCain administration. I’d rather take the risk of someone who will consider humanist ideals.”
Those responsibility has been taken to account, have you done the same if your intuition with an empty suit is wrong? Lets play ping-pong…tag your IT! You guys are a classic and may I add that since the racist tactics works on a little minds, that you ass-ume that we will just fall in line. Pitty!
“Note to the editor: Yes, I’ll gladly be a pawn of the Democrats. At least their platform addresses equality, diversity, and the distribution of wealth. Face it, the Repubs really believe that the economy is okay and Iraq was worth 4100 lives.”
Rubbish! If the price for a happy meal is $3.75 and you and I have $3.75, then we can eat an equal meal. Although, not all of us will ever sit on the same dinning table and the same meal….a rather delusional attempt. Diversity is what we are and will never change. Distribution of wealth? Why not attempt to better yourself. McCain doesn’t think the economy is okay, where you going with this? The Dems. are just as guilty as the Rep. they authorize the war in Iraq and 4100 lives and growing are the price so you can bitch whine in your attempt to change our mind.

I don’t have TIME to place nice with the democrats any longer and neither do the women in the shelter where I work. They sat silent to let the most blatant blood bath of sexism in prime time living color take place that I’ve seen in my life time. This has consequences. Studies show that when sexism goes up in the media, domestic violence also rises. Thanks media and thanks Obama, and DNC for sitting with tape on your mouth the whole time this was going on. Get it or don’t. Say it’s sore losing or whatever OTHER deragatory comment you want to make. You would not ask someone who had been a victim of so much blatant racism to vote for a person who never said a word against it but, used it to their ADVANTAGE! I waited, I even wanted Obama, Michelle, or the DNC to say one word. They only did so when they had got the full benefit from it. I don’t know what I’ll do in November but, in the name of Alice Palmer and everything I saw happen here it will NOT be a vote for Obama and his pretense of caring about issues that matter to me.
It’s a sham. Words are just words without actions to back them up. I saw no actions. NONE.

Ms Abeles,
I am supporting John McCain for President. However, I truly believe Hillary is the best candidate to lead our country during these turbulent times. I watched your interview on Fox News via Youtube and I was very impressed with your explanation of how McCain is a centrist and moderate like Hillary. I agree with you and I often find myself explaining the same thing to fanatic Obamabots. That is what I call them. They seem to be incapable of forming an objective thought or an independent argument that doesn’t include Obama talking points which are full of lies.
Stay Strong! There are many of us in number. You may seem all alone but so did I before I searched on the internet. For some reason these Obamabots think that this McCain movement is orchestrated by Hillary or some other outlandish conspiracy theory. I, on my own, instinctively chose to vote for McCain once Obama became the nominee. It had to do with my ability to see not only his attributes but also see ALL of his faults. I wish they would do the same without throwing out insults.
I am in Michigan and I would like to be a part of any ‘Hillary supporters for McCain’ movement. I would love to show up and demonstrate my support for McCain in a positive way. Please keep my email address on record and notify me if there is any event in the future.

Strong attacks from supporters came from and still come from both sides. Hillary supporters aren’t angels niether ar obama supporters both siedes are passionate about thier candidate. But lets not fool ourselfs into being victims when the rocks were slung both ways.
on June 28th, 2008 at 7:49 pm
Death threats have been slung mostly one way..and nobody is playing “victim” standing up to an injustice is as valid for one group and any other. Why is it when women have a valid right to be angry at an injustice “cute” words like “frustrated” “bitter”"disappointed” and “sore loser” are thrown around so easily.
The thing is it’s not about Hillary now…it’s not about winning and losing so much as it’s about an onslaught of censorship online, hate speech in the media and the way so much hatred hurled at women is seen as secondary and “acceptable”
I did not see threats and violent speech thrown at Obama supporters on nearly every single blog all over the net from Hillary supporters. Stupid comments sometimes but, not HATE speech and threats. Been to You Tube lately?? Take a look at what’s deemed acceptable.
Only now do the DNC or Obama say one word about it…they need our votes so it’s not a genuine rejection of what happened, it’s a manipulation.
I waited for Obama or any of his supporters to debate this, or stand up against it for months, I even wanted them to because at some point I was willing to vote for whoever won the dem nomination. No more. I fell in line too many times and was marginalized for it. The result of falling in line and being a good little foot soldier was what I witnessed raise it’s ugly head in this so called election. At some point you have to say no more. This is the line in the sand.

I have been a long time Democrat, I held public hearings here in Cincinnati after the 2004 election worked with Jesse Jackson, I cannot support the DNC nor Barack Obama who was selected not elected. If I can help please let me know. You go girl I am proud of you. Saw you on Fox News, keep fighting the fight. There is a coup in the Democratic Party by the far far left who hate the Clinton’s. They want to bring the party back to Carter’s times. Bill Clinton helped bring this party back out of the dark ages. Hillary should stand up and fight and go independent. She does not need them. Join HIllblazers at yahoogroups as well.

I have a question for Paula. You mention the magazine of Wright’s church as having published photos of both Obama and Farrakhan on the cover at the same time. I am wondering why this has not been brought out into the open. Is there anywhere one can see these magazines? Beciuase I am outraged at the pass Obama has been given with regard to his long standing connection with WRight and his church. Can anyone emlighten me?

The response to national disaster is great but it’s a damn shame that so many people take advantage of the sad situations.
I mean everytime there is an earthquake, a flood, an oil spill – there’s always a group of heartless people who rip off tax payers.
This is in response to reading that 4 of Oprah Winfreys “angels” got busted ripping off the system. Shame on them!

Do you ever wonder what those guys at the coffee shop are up to when they can just sit there for hours with their laptop? Sure, I guess they could be working on some project but who are they working for? Some of these guys might be what are known as “coffee shop millionaires”. I found a video that shows how to make this kind of money through a series of course modules. Those are Local Cash Machine, Newsletter Cash Machine, Article Cash Machine and Video Cash Machine. The modules are set up so that they can be accessed from the perspective of a beginner, intermediate marketer or advanced marketers. If you try to close the video page, you will be offered a discount of $10 off the regular price for the system. This is a very interesting video so I am including a link to it right here: http://cli.gs/6ofhh4h
